GREENSBORO - For his seventh pro year, wide receiver Jordan Jolly (6’2”, 205) will be playing with the Carolina Cobras.

In the 2018 championship winning season for the Cobras, Jolly was a critical factor in the offensive scheme, catching 77 balls for 918 yards and 23 touchdowns through his 14 games active. In Carolina’s 66-8 rout of Columbus in the 2018 NAL Championship game, Jolly recorded four touchdowns and 110 yards off of eight catches for the Cobras.

“Rejoining the team is like getting back with your brothers again, working for a prize that we all want again,” Jolly says on his re-signing. “We just have to come in ready to work and fill in the holes where some players aren’t coming back.”

Jolly, while mainly a receiver, was the team’s primary backup quarterback during the season, with his main appearance at quarterback coming in a 78-9 win over the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks on July 14. After starting quarterback Charles McCullum went out to injury at the end of the first half, Jolly took over for the rest of the game, where he completed three of nine passing attempts for 45 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, while also rushing for two touchdowns.

Prior to his time in Carolina, Jolly played for several IFL teams, including the Texas Revolution (2013), the Nashville Venom (2014-2015), and the Wichita Falls Nighthawks (2016-2017). Jolly was involved in the Venom’s inaugural season championship win in 2014, receiving for 156 yards, and three touchdowns off of ten receptions.

In all of his professional years, Jolly has played under head coach Billy Back, and has played alongside McCullum for many of those years, including both championship winning seasons. “Jordan has been a game changer for us for some time now,” Back states. “When Jolly’s mind is into it and he’s in shape there isn’t a defensive back at any level of arena football that can cover him, and he has proved that year in and year out.” In the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Jolly made First Team All-IFL with the Nighthawks, showing how valuable he is each season.

Jolly is a native of Missouri City, Texas, and played football at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas.
